ALL ARE WELCOME

Who we are?
At First Christian Church Dover everyone really is welcome.  We think of FCC as a community of faith, family, friends and freedom  striving to make a difference in our little corner of God’s world.  We understand that each individual has had difefrent experiences which have shaped us on our journey of faith.  We respect and encourage the unique gifts and diversity within our faith community.   We value the ministry and leadership of all individuals and strive to raise up leaders in ministry.  In our walk with God, we strive to lift each other up as we grow together in faith and do our best to reflect God’s love outward to our community and beyond.  Our faith centers around the Lord's Table where we celebrate Communion weekly in worship.  All who desire a relationship with Christ are invited to participate in this sacred act.

When you visit with us, we hope you’ll feel welcome to come as you are and participate at your own comfort level. When you are here, just know that you are always invited but never required, always encouraged but never evaluated, and your faith will always be between you and God.
Our people are people just like you, people on a journey who don’t want to go it alone.  Our faith community gathers to support each another in our lifelong journey. We look different, we come from different places, and we experience the world in our unique ways.  So, you’ll find that our beliefs are naturally and wonderfully diverse.  We would love to meet you and welcome you to our little corner of God’s world.

Our Minister
Rev. Karyn Bogert

Pastor Karyn joined FCC Dover in February 2019.  She and her husband, Neal, relocated from Cleveland, TN where she ministered for twelve years.  Originally from Texas, she received her Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth.  In addition to serving as a pastor in Cleveland, she also served several Christian churches in Texas.  Prior to her ordination, Pastor Karyn worked as a Chemical Dependency Counselor.  She said “I has a deep desire to help all people grow spiritually in their relationship with God, and I try to express that in an open, non-judgmental way.  I attempt to live by the words of Jesus and love my neighbor as myself. That is one of the things I love about our church family here at FCC – everyone is free to be themselves and serve God as they feel called to do.
